Description

Who and what are we? Why are we here and how did we get here? What are we meant to do whilst here and where do we go after we leave here? Are we all connected?

Behind the Mirror is an extraordinary conception and a remarkable piece of work. It has features in common with both spiritual non-fiction and fiction, but doesn't quite conform to either.

It is, in essence, the author's attempt to explain a universal spiritual cosmology to a future, older version of his daughter, who at present is a small child, and he has rendered it in the form of a short story in which she is the principal character. He has done this as he is terminally ill, and won't live to see his daughter grow up.

When first encountered, this premise seems an achingly sad one. But that impression is rapidly dispelled by the story itself. Set in the future, after the author's death, it is a story of hope and love, and is about how the physical death of the individual self is a trivial part of an ongoing cycle of life.
